My dear friends in Christ,
It is a joy for me to invite you to the Diocese of Worcester and to St. Joseph School in Webster, MA for the Worcester Catholic Women's Conference, 2022. I trust that you will find the conference to be a source of inspiration and a welcomed occasion to spend time with other women from all walks of life who are enthusiastically dedicated to the Catholic Church and to maturing in their faith and commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our conference speakers will be lay men and women who have contributed to the life of the Catholic Church in important ways and who are uniquely suited for this year's topic – “Embrace the Cross”. Sonja Corbitt is a convert from Evangelical Protestantism and renowned international religious speaker and author who wrote the best-selling book Unleashed, is featured on CatholicTV's Evangelista Bible Study and the Catholic App Laudate, and contributes to Magnificat Magazine as well as Jeff Cavins' The Great Adventure Bible Study Blog. Laura Mary Phelps is a national speaker and author whose work with Walking with Purpose, a women's Catholic Bible Ministry, has brought her across the country to speak to people about the Word of God and how to make sense of suffering in the light of Christ's life and teaching. Bryan Mercier, the founder of Catholic Truth, is a professional Catholic speaker, retreat leader, Catholic apologist, and author whose own radical conversion as a young man has inspired him to share his story with others to spread the fire of God's love throughout the Church and the world. Constance T. Hull is wife, mother, homeschooler, and a graduate with a Masters in Theology with an emphasis in philosophy who writes for The Federalist, Public Discourse, and blogs frequently at Swimming the Depths. Each of these distinguished speakers will provide an opportunity to grow in knowledge and commitment to the Gospel and the life of the Church.
I look forward to greeting you at the Worcester Catholic Women's Conference on October 2, 2022. With every prayerful best wish, I remain
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Robert J. McManus
Bishop of Worcester
